Kenneth D. Sharp

Ken Sharp, 74, of Green passed away January 5, 2019 following complications of surgery.  He was born November 26, 1944 in Akron to the late Joseph and Dorothy Sharp.  He was a 1962 graduate of Springfield High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of Wayfarer Lodge #789, serving with the Yusaf-Khan G.R.O.T.T.O motorcycle group. 

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 44 wonderful years, Linda; children, Dee (Lee) Cameron, Rebecca (Mark) Danner, and Joseph (Rachel) Sharp. Ken’s love of the outdoors will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jordan, Jake, Mark, Jr., Noah, Grace, and Kenny. He also leaves behind his brother, Richard (Freddie Rae) Sharp; sister, Peggy (Bill) Nicholson; as well as many other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at NOON on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Larry Baldridge officiating.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 6:30 P.M.  Interment will take place at East Liberty.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
