Ike A. “Dwight” Vidmar

Ike Vidmar, 67, of Portage Lakes passed away June 24, 2017.  He was born July 17, 1949 in Cleveland to the late Anthony and Bertha Vidmar.  Ike was an avid sports fan, he loved to travel, enjoyed boating and friends. Ike was a certifiable car nut.  For the past 20 years, he spent nearly every day at Thomas Classics admiring, driving and talking about his favorite cars with his best friends.  

Ike is survived by his sister, Geraldine Fuduric; 4 nieces and nephews; 5 great nieces and nephews; very special friends, Chad and Jill Gano; as well as many other friends throughout the Akron area.   

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ike’s name to Summa Hospice, c/o Summa Health Foundation, PO Box 2090, Akron, Ohio 44398-6153 or to Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dusty’s Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
