Helen K. (Krochta) Swann

Helen Swann, 97, passed away May 23, 2017.  She was born August 31, 1919 in Piney Fork, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna Krochta. Helen was employed as a clerk-typist at Goodyear Aerospace and also played basketball for the Akron Wingfoots Ladies Team.  She was a loving sister, aunt and great aunt and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Webb Swann; brother, Andy Krochta; and sister, Anna Tabacchi.  She is survived by her sister, Mary Krulcik; brother, William (Carolyn) Krochta; nieces and nephews, Ed Willis, Jim Krulcik, Pat Guzy, Jean Sinfield, Kathy Koncz, Tom, Jeff and Chuck Krochta, Lori Mazanec, Todd Krochta; as well as many other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Rev. Larry Lalama officiating.  Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to Harbor Light Hospice; 25 S.
