Ella Mae "Penny" (Sams) Poalson

Penny Poalson, 80, of Estero, Florida, formerly of Green, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017, surrounded by her family.  She was born August 4, 1937, in Akron, to the late Clarence and Gladys Sams.  She married the love of her life, Dale E. Poalson, on April 20, 1955.  Penny’s many talents included golf, playing cards, and being the unquestionable “Queen of Dominoes” amongst her family and friends.  Penny was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend who loved to entertain.  She enjoyed many years of camping with her young family throughout the United States.

Penny is survived by her husband, Dale E. Poalson; daughter, Holly Radovic; sons, John (Maribeth) and Steve (Penny) Poalson; grandsons, Nick and Dale Poalson; granddaughters, Ashley Jewart and Kirsten Reich; great-granddaughters, Olivia, Kalee Ray and Elliana; and great-grandson, Colt;  sister, Laura Yuhas; brother, Robert (Judy) Sams and brother-in-law Roger Poalson; She will be forever cherished in the hearts of her entire family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Northlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, 4724 State Road, Peninsula, Ohio 44264.  Family and friends may call on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6 to 9 P.M. at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
