- About Us
Eleanor Sypolt, of Green passed away on June 24, 2018. She was born in Akron on October 15, 1931 to the late George and Nellie Kemp but resided in Green most of her life. Over the years Mom was involved in many hobbies that used her artistic talents. She loved tending her garden flowers (mums were her favorite) and was involved in the Ladies Garden Club. She learned to paint and became a talented artist, made many quilts and most recently volunteered at Greenview Inn making table favors for the residents.
Mom was courageous yet stubborn and pushed herself even when her body didn’t want her too. She would always work in her flower beds, still drove and would always accept an invitation to go somewhere with friends or family. Mom really loved visits and calls from all and looked forward to spending time with family and friends.
Besides her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Bill and brothers, George Kemp and Karl Tillett. She is survived by her children, Dale and Kevin (Bonnie) Sypolt, Debbie (Chuck) Bergdorf, and Darla (John) Penza; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319. Inurnment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery at a later date. To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
