Earl H. Thomas, Sr.

Earl Thomas, 81, passed away March 1, 2018.  He was born May 20, 1936 in Coalton, Ohio to the late Charles Thomas and Opal May.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl; granddaughter, Trinity Neiger; brother, Paul; and sister, Cheryl.  He is survived by his sons, Pete (Darlene) Neiger; Earl Jr. (Becky), Timothy, Terry (Audrey), and Ricky Thomas; daughters, Debbie (Michael) Selzer and Yvonne Thomas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Montlane, Bruce and Forrest (Marie) May; sister Polly Stump; as well as many other loving family and friends.   

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at East Liberty Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made in Earl’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Road, Ste. 440, Independence, Ohio 44131.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
