David L. Summers

Dave Summers, 68, passed away peacefully June 29, 2017 surrounded by his family.  Dave was a Master Carpenter in Local Union 285.  Dave enjoyed his work as a carpenter but his true love was his family.  He loved and adored his children, grandchildren, and his cats that he treated as children.    

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.  He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Bertila; 4 sons; 1 daughter; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters; as well as many other loving family and friends.  

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dave’s life will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
