Clark Hall, 83, passed away on March 20, 2017, 1 day before his 84th birthday.  He was born on March 21, 1933 in Kite, Kentucky to Della (Gibson) Hall and Bennie Hall, Sr.  Clark graduated in 1952 from Hower Vocational High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Barbara Keene.  They married on October 4, 1952 and had 4 children.

Clark studied the printing trade at Hower, which he truly enjoyed and he began working at American Printing in November 1952 by washing presses and sweeping floors.  Through the years he advanced to pressman and then to salesman.  In 1966, Clark was offered to purchase stock in the company.  He became sole owner in 1981.  One by one as his children graduated from high school they joined their dad working at American Printing where they had the privilege of working as a family.  Clark ran his last job on his press the week before he passed away.  Some of his best friends were his clients and coworkers.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger, where he shared his love of the outdoors with his family by taking them, whether hiking in the Metro Parks, camping, and hunting and fishing.

Clark was truly a gentleman, but also a gentle man.  He was kind to everyone and didn’t know a stranger.  He always had time to listen and talk with everyone and never complained even with all the struggles he faced with his aneurysms.

Besides, his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Hall, Jr and sister,  Aredia Guseman.  He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Barbara; children, David (Christine) Hall, Daniel (Tammy Mongold) Hall, Kimberly Kreitz and Cynthia (Douglas) Sines; grandchildren, Mandy (Tom) McKinnon, Jason (Keri) Hamblin, Kyra (Adam) Shank, Steven (Kelly) Kreitz, Jared Hall, Leigha Hall, Jenna Hall, Molly Hall; great grandchildren, Brock Hamblin, Alexis Hamblin, Carter McKinnon, Jefferson McKinnon, Aryssa Hamblin, Naomi Morehart, Dexter Kreitz, and Weston Kreitz.   He is also survived by half brother, Glenn (Mary) Hall and half-sister, Imogene Knipp, along with special sister in law Joan Neely and her husband Bill Neely; special friends Tom and Pat Geiger, Mike Buzzi and special neighbors Mary and Karl Boss.

Funeral service will be held at 7 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619).  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  A private family burial will take place at East Liberty Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Clark’s name to the Children’s Fund at Akron Children’s Hospital, One Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
