Cheryl Kathleen Madick

Cheryl Madick lost her courageous battle with cancer October 29, 2017. Born January 23, 1971, she was best known for her zest for life and feisty attitude. She was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms. She was loved by all who knew her.  She loved her family and her animals. She was “Sassy” to her family and friends and “Aunt Cool” to all her nieces.

She is survived by her parents, Karen and Roger Zemelka, Robert and Rebecca Madick; her sisters, Kelley Madick and Jody (Jamie) Norris; brother, Michael Madick; nieces, Ashley, Molly, Katie, Allie, and Ava; dog, Gemma and her horse, Jax. May your trail always be clear with the wind on your back and the sun on your face and lots of casinos in between.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mikhail Shtivelband as well as the staff of the Akron General Hospice Care Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Rd., Akron, Ohio 44319.   Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.  Per Cheryl’s request, no black clothing at the services.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Cheryl’s name to a local animal rescue.   To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
