Beverly A. (Moorhead) Shafer

Beverly Shafer, 74, passed away February 14, 2018.  She was born December 1, 1943 in Akron to the late William and Michalena Moorhead.  After retiring from Cement Masons Local 109 as an Office Manager, Beverly shared her energy caring for her loving mother and expanding her Arts and Crafts Projects for local charities

Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shafer, and sisters, Cheryl Bowyer and Roslyn Moorhead.  She is survived by her brother, Roger Moorhead; relatives, Sherrie Underwood,  Robyn Northup, and Diane Kozak; as well as many other loving family and friends.   

Graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at East Liberty Cemetery, 740 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Bill White officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Beverly’s name to American Liver Foundation, 6133 Rockside Road, Ste. 301, Independence, Ohio 44131.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
