Barbara M. (Neidert) Kocher

Barb Kocher, 83, of Green passed away October 16, 2017.  She was born July 9, 1934 in Clinton to the late Philip and Anna Neidert. Barb was a lifetime member of the Greensburg Church of God where she had been treasurer for over 30 years and had been treasurer of the NEO Christian Women’s Council, she enjoyed participating and fellowshipping with Relay for Life, The Ability Belles, Children of Promise and TOPS Club. She also was an avid reader and loved her puzzle books. She loved the Lord, her family and her very special group of friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, John; brothers, Philip, Christopher, Henry, John, Andy, Fritz, Pete, and John Neidert and sisters, Anna Schilling, Katie Yost and Margaret Gross. She is survived by her son, Craig (Sandy) Kocher; daughter, Beth (Scott) Saenger; grandchildren, Becky (Ron) Bentzel, Nicol (Brock) Thompson, Brock (Amanda) Kocher; great-grandchildren, Grace, Georgia, Lillian and T.J. Bentzel, Michael and William Thompson, John and Dean Kocher; brother, Bill Neidert; sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Ola Neidert and Sherry Kocher as well as many other loving family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor David Cross officiating.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
