Thomas E. Stokes

Tom Stokes, 77, passed away June 16, 2017.  He was born November 23, 1939 in Barberton to the late Charles and Bernice Stokes.

Owner and operator of the family business, Fineart Studios for 20+ years, he treated his customers as friends.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, canoeing, camping with the family, and many years of restoring boats.  His sense of humor and character were beyond compare, and is evident in his children/grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Margie; sisters, Pat Corbin, Pam (Gerald) Hollenack and Jane (Floyd) Bolitho of Australia; children, Bob (Debbie) and Bill Stokes, Traci (Jeff) Denny, Dallas (Gloria) Junkin, Kimberly (Ron) Meany and Suzanne (Rob) Nine; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Leah, Rachael, Zach, Mitchell (Amber), Lauren, Bryce, Aaron, Tessa, Lindsay (Daniel), Elijah, Micah, Jenitza, Dallas, Cougar, Haley; great grandsons Grant and Paul Jones; along with many other loving family and friends.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and doctors of Summa Akron City Hospital, especially those working in the Heart and Lung Unit.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
