Sherrie C. (Jones) Ellis

Sherrie Ellis, 72, formerly of Green, passed away January 31, 2017 in Pinellas Park, Florida.  She was born May 9, 1944 in Akron to the late Ralph and Iris Jones and graduated from Springfield High School.  Sherrie obtained a Pharmacy Technician Certificate at Concord Career Institute and was a Realtor at Florida Executive Realty.    

Sherrie was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Jones.  She is survived by her children, Guy (Melissa) Peck, Jonaé (Carey Simpson) Peck and James Carlone; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emily, Justice and Jaycen; great grandson, Caiden; brother, Tim Jones as well as many other loving family and friends.                 

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in Sherrie’s name to Green Good Neighbors, P O Box 155, Green, Ohio 44232.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
