Robert L Uplinger, III

Bob Uplinger, 53, of Akron passed away April 18,2017.  He was born February 8, 1964 in Akron to Judy (Marty Meglich) Duty and the late Robert L. Uplinger, Jr.  Bob attended Green High School, was a member of Teamsters Local 348, worked for Cotter Merchandise and Storage and Manchester Tavern.    

Besides his dad he was preceded in death by his stepdad, Banner Lee Duty.  He leaves behind his wife, of 37 years, Margie Novak Uplinger; children, Veronica (Jeffrey Jones) Uplinger, Robert (Jnell) Uplinger, IV, Destiny Stalnaker, Elizabeth “Baby Girl” (Josh Greathouse) Uplinger; grandchildren, Jeremiah Stalnaker and Grant Robert Uplinger; sisters, Christina Heppe and Monette Cole; brothers, Tommy (Jessica) and Timmy Uplinger; stepmom; Ann Uplinger as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.   

Memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
