Robert Paul Sills

Bob Sills, 90, passed away November 5, 2017.  He was born April 20, 1927 in Akron to the late Prince and Harriett Sills.  Bob was a mechanic, but his true passion was tinkering with anything that had working parts - everything from a pair of light up kids shoes to a lawn mower needing to be examined.  As much as he loved to tinker he was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. He was always the one behind the video camera.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Velma Bowen.  He is survived by his loving wife, of 66 years, Sarah; son, David (Sarah) Sills; daughters, Pat (Frank) Bunn, Debra Metzger and Nancy (Mike) Biggie; grandchildren, Michael (Abby) Moore, Sherry (Todd) Orr, Ray (Stacey) Bunn, Christy Bunn, Heather (Andrea) Cambarare, Mary and John Metzger, Jennifer and Jessica Biggie; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.   

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Rev. Todd Orr officiating.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will take place at a later date.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
