Pauline B. DeBerte

Pauline DeBerte, 92, passed away January 24, 2017.  She was born in Akron May 23, 1924 to the late Joseph and Tillie Schermesser. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was their defender, and their greatest cheerleader.  She will still be cheering for them, but just in a different location.

Besides her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, of 46 years, Ernest; brothers, Alfonse, Victor and Eugene Schermesser; sister, Freda Heyer.  She is survived by sons, Allan (Sonya) and Scott (Bobbi) DeBerte; grandchildren, Ben, Clay, Nick (Traci) and Shana DeBerte; step-daughter, Lenora (Tony) Petrarca and their children, Anthony Jr, Jim and Lisa. as well as many other loving family and friends.               

Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with grandsons, Nick and Clay DeBerte officiating.  Family and friends may call on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
