Michael A. Fanizzi

1 Samuel 16:7… the Lord does not look at the things man does.  Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Mike Fanizzi, 79, went to be with his heavenly Father on August 7, 2017.  He was born March 5, 1938 in Akron to the late Frank and Mary Teresa Fanizzi.  Mike attended North High School and served in the U.S. Army.  

Mike was a man of few words but he treasured the precious memories he shared with his family and friends.  Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, of 28 years, Cleopatra (Farrell) Fanizzi; brother, Frank and sisters, Marge and Chris.  He is survived by his daughter, Diana (John) King; sons, Max (Martha) Combs, Glenn Combs, and Steven Fanizzi; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Linzy) Frisone; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  

“Some people come and go in our lives…some stay forever in our hearts.” Finally together; You were ALWAYS loved!

Cremation has taken place and a committal service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery in the American Saints Mausoleum, 100 E.
