Edward G. Strabel

Ed Strabel, 81, of Green passed away suddenly on July 30, 2017.  He was born March 19, 1936 in Akron to the late Albert and Minnie Strabel.  Ed served in the US Army Reserves and retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 306 after 42 years of service, the last 10 of which as co-owner of Strabel and Stewart Electric.  He spent many hours restoring and tinkering with his antique vehicles, enjoying his grandchildren and spending time in Florida with his wife and friends.  

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife and soulmate of 43 years, Rita; children, Carey (Cary) Morgan, Gregory (Sheryl) Strabel, Valerie (Greg) Bokar and Michael Johnson; grandchildren, Seth, Ethan, Victoria, Derik, Dylan, Rachel, Zachary, Matthew and Jared; brother, David Strabel; as well as many loving friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Rev.
