Donna Marie (Shaw) Caughron

Donna Caughron, 86, of Akron, Ohio passed away on March 17, 2017.  Donna was born in Akron, Ohio on March 19, 1930 to the late Freeland and Ona Shaw. She was a 1948 graduate of Springfield High School. Donna and her husband owned and operated the Sparkle Market in Portage Lakes for 16 years. Donna and Bob also had a passion for horse racing; they owned and trained thoroughbreds for 30 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed taking trips to the casino.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Caughron. She is survived by her children, Robert (Lesa) Caughron, II, Christopher (Lisa) Caughron, Deborah (Harlan) Oakes, Marjorie (Dennis) Emerick; grandchildren, Bethany (Dustin) Moore, Robert (Denise) Caughron, III, Joshua (Mandi) Caughron, Cody Caughron, Laura Caughron, Chaz (Tiffany) Oakes, Chelsy (Derrick) Harte, Mitchel Emerick and Katelyn Emerick; great-grandchildren, Lola Caughron and Logan Harte; sister, Patricia Greear;

Memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E.
